Background & Expertise

 Suffolk Community College Foundation, Inc.
Chief Business Officer

Responsible for the overall financial operations of the Suffolk Community College Foundation.  Oversight includes management of the annual external audit process, the preparation of management reporting, creation of the annual operating budget and, designing financial control systems. This role requires me to serves as liaison to donors, college faculty and staff, financial institutions and the Foundation Board of Directors. I collaborate with offices of Financial Aid and Enrollment Management and the College Central Business office to facilitate student scholarship distribution and other institutional financial aid. Key contributor to the Foundation strategic planning process, institutional unit assessment, as well as grant and fellowship management.

Instructor, Business & Paralegal Studies Department 
Suffolk County Community College

As a member of the business faculty, my role is to engage students in the learning process of grasping business concepts and then showing them how to apply these concepts to their personal and professional lives. I encourage critical thinking, learning communities and provide mentor opportunities through structured interactions with alumni in the classroom.

Hand Crafting Justice

Served as project manager to lead installation, piloting, and phased implementation of inventory management system for Fair Trade Retail and Wholesale business. Developed a database design based on system requirements and end-user need.

Manger of Business Readiness
Computer Associates Inc.

Served as a change management officer to support the implementation and administration of a worldwide strategic IT and business process related programs. Responsible for  financial and management reporting for the Readiness team and the preparation and presentation of all financial and operational data to senior management. Created and presented project budgets and resource plans to team leaders as well as organizational impact analyses and mitigation plans.

Associate Manager of Business Analysis
Avon Products

Provided overall integrated financial planning, data gathering, analysis, recommendations and reporting support to the U.S. Marketing group. Presented management updates including weekly sales trends, external reporting for wall street analysts’ meetings. Managed business units expense budgeting and forecast process.

Central Budget Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis,
Saks Fifth Avenue

Responsible for monthly financial forecasts of the Off 5th division. Conducted the monthly accounting closing process for several corporate divisions. Presented quarterly trend and variance analysis to senior management along with the annual operations budget.

Monitored and reported monthly sales and inventory for domestic and international business units. Maintained rolling-inventory sales forecast to support merchandising  and production team operations.
